This policy explains what happens to information on MoneyZio.com, split into five separate things: calculator processing, hosting/infrastructure, advertising, affiliate links, and browser storage. They work differently from each other, so we've kept them separate rather than describing the site as a single "we collect X" statement.

1. MoneyZio calculator processing

The numbers you type into any MoneyZio calculator — salary, profit, mortgage figures, budget entries, a name on the Payslip Generator — are processed entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. They are never sent to a MoneyZio server, never logged, and never included in a URL. We verified this directly: there is no code anywhere on this site that sends a calculator value over the network. We do not have user accounts, sign-up forms, or a login system, and we do not build financial profiles from what you enter.

2. Hosting/infrastructure processing

Our web host (Hostinger) may collect standard technical server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) as part of normal web hosting operation, for security and reliability purposes. This happens for any website on the internet as an inherent part of serving pages — it is not something MoneyZio has added, and we do not access, analyse, or use these logs for marketing or profiling.

3. Advertising

MoneyZio shows Google-served advertising (Google AdSense) on some pages. As of 20 August 2026, this is governed by Google's own published consent management platform for UK/EEA visitors, configured directly in our AdSense account — Google's own message handles obtaining consent for ad personalisation. 4. Affiliate links

Some pages show sponsored product links to Amazon, Awin, or AliExpress. These are ordinary outbound links — MoneyZio's own page doesn't run any tracking script, pixel, or cookie in connection with them, and nothing about them happens until you actively click one. If you do, and go on to make a qualifying purchase, MoneyZio may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, via that programme's own affiliate tracking. Once you follow a link, you're on that service's own website, subject to their own cookies and privacy policy, not MoneyZio's. As of 20 August 2026, which pages show which affiliate links is controlled by a central, page-relevant configuration rather than showing every partner on every page — see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full explanation. None of these are used to promote financial products, mortgage lenders, or tax filing services.

5. Browser storage

Separately from the advertising/affiliate cookies above, two features always store a small amount of information locally on your own device, regardless of your cookie choice, because they're set as a direct result of an action you take rather than for tracking or advertising:

Saved calculations are stored in this browser, on this device, and are not stored in a MoneyZio account — because there is no MoneyZio account to store them in. This storage is not sent to any server with each page request, and we have no access to it. Clearing your browser's site data, using a different browser, or switching devices will remove it.

Your rights and choices

For advertising consent (Google AdSense), you can change your choice at any time via the consent management interface Google displays. For any other request relating to how this site handles information — including UK GDPR data subject rights — contact us at help@moneyzio.com.

Changes to this policy

If the advertising or affiliate services we use change, we will update this policy to reflect that.
