MoneyZio.com is a free UK salary, tax, mortgage and budgeting calculator site. You enter a figure, get an estimate, and move on — no account, no sign-up, no financial profile built up about you along the way.

What MoneyZio provides

A set of calculators covering the questions people most often have about UK pay and money: what a salary actually works out to after tax and National Insurance, what a self-employed profit means for Income Tax and Class 4 NI, roughly what a mortgage might cost, what an employer's real cost of hiring someone is, and a few more. Every calculator uses the same underlying tax figures, so results stay consistent across the site.

How calculations are developed

MoneyZio's tax and National Insurance figures come from a single central configuration file, built directly from HMRC and GOV.UK published rates for the current tax year. Every calculator reads from that same configuration rather than having its own separate copy of the numbers — this is meant to stop different tools on the site quietly drifting out of sync with each other. How information is reviewed and updated

The tax configuration is reviewed when HMRC or GOV.UK publish new figures — most significantly at the start of each new tax year (6 April), and again if a rate changes mid-year. See What's Changed for the current tax year's specifics.

How MoneyZio is funded

MoneyZio is free to use. It's funded through advertising and a small number of affiliate partnerships — see How MoneyZio Makes Money and Affiliate Disclosure for the specifics. Commercial relationships never influence a calculator's result.
